TGIndia has dropped the fee for the 30-day tourist visa for Russian citizens
Since the start of 2026 the consular fee for the 30-day electronic tourist visa for Russian citizens is zero. The entry window grew too — 120 days instead of 30.
The agreement was announced in December 2025 and took effect at the start of 2026. For Russian citizens the 30-day electronic tourist visa now carries no consular fee.
What exactly changed

The visa allows two entries and a stay of up to 30 days from the first entry — so within those 30 days you can pop over to a neighbouring country and come back. The one-year and five-year visas are still charged; nothing was waived there.
A zero fee does not make the application easier. India’s form is long, the portal is temperamental, and an error in the data is grounds for refusal. A free visa filed with a mistake still costs you the trip.
